Tri-Seat Design

A heavy-duty Urethane seat is steel reinforced and mechanically retained via T-lock geometry. The resilient material and wide cross-section provide excellent durability and long-term wear resistance.

A Viton O-ring seal is embedded into each of the (replaceable) bore liners, providing consistent 'bubble tight' shut-off.

Additionally, the gate to bore liner interface provides a metal-to-metal seating arrangement, delivering the final safeguard by ensuring closure is achieved, every time.

Bore Liners

Rotatable

The standard upstream and downstream bore liners can be rotated incrementally to extend the valve's service life (if localized wear patterns occur).

Wear Protection

The bore liners are protected with a welded hard overlay (applied to the entire bore I.D.), providing superior wear protection against abrasive slurry.

Replaceable Trim

Due to its unique design, only the TSX trim components are exposed to erosive flow (i.e. seats, bore liners and gate). Once they do eventually wear out, these components can be replaced to reset the service life clock.

There is no need to purchase and install a new valve assembly (often the case with other designs). Each trim replacement essentially provides a new valve at a fraction of the cost.

Standard Oreacle Features

Unibody Design

The heavy-duty valve body is custom fabricated to form a one-piece unit. The result is a robust 'unibody' design, which is engineered for severe service applications.

FULL PORT

The bore matches the pipe I.D. exactly. Flow passes through without interruption, minimizing turbulence and erosion to the valve and downstream piping.

Modular Clevis

A multi-piece clevis disassembles quickly and is bolted directly onto the gate. This unique design simplifies field service and allows clients to easily change the actuator type.

Gate Lockout

The gate lockout (for open/close) is centered within the yoke and is engineered to withstand the actuator's full force, without bending the 17.4PH SS pin.

Oreacle TSX knife gate valves can be ordered with any of the following optional upgrades.

Teflon Body Coating
If our marine grade 2-part epoxy is not sufficient, Oreacle valves can be specified with a Teflon coating.

ENC BOdy Coating
Oreacle valve bodies can also be nickel alloy plated via an Electroless Nickel Coating (ENC) process.

Gate Tip Hard Overlay
If erosion of the gate tip is of concern, a welded hard overlay can be applied to that area.

Chrome White Iron Bore Liners
Substitute the standard TSX bore liners with Chrome White Iron (CWI) inlet/outlet wear rings.
